Placement guidelines for Japanese

Taking the Japanese Placement Assessment

Prior to taking the Japanese placement assessment, all students must enroll in the Canvas Placement Module.

After enrolling in the Canvas Placement Module, fill out this registration form by midnight the night before the placement assessment.

*You are not allowed to take the placement test to advance to the next higher level if you did not pass the previously registered Japanese course.

Please arrive at the room promptly at 10:00AM.
The placement assessment (vocabulary, grammar, kanji, reading comprehension, listening comprehension, writing) will take approximately 2 hours.
