El Centro invited the Spanish language section in the Department of Languages and Applied Linguistics, to participate in their annual event "La Bienvenida 2023" on October 14th at the Quarry Plaza on campus. This event introduces and connects students to a variety of Chicanx/ Latinx organizations and community, on and off campus. It was a great chance to promote the Spanish language courses, the Applied Linguistics major, the Spanish Studies major/minor, future activities and academic/work opportunities.
Lecturer Javier Fernández Agüera, Assistant Professors Josefina Bitter and Christian Ruvalcaba and Lecturer Sandra Malone were in attendance to support the event.
