Japanese Language Lunch Table

The Language Table is a distinctive feature of the Japanese Language Program at UCSC. It is a gathering place for informal conversation between students to improve their speaking ability, meet Japanese exchange students from Japan, and associate with students from different levels of Japanese courses. By participating in the Language Table, students have the opportunity to discuss different topics such as Japanese culture and subculture, customs, foods, way of life, and student experiences in Japan compared with those in the United States. Participating in the Language Table provides a great opportunity to gain new friends in a friendly atmosphere.

The Language Table is held every Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 in the Cowell Senior Common room. Come and join the group for an enjoyable and informal conversion with fellow Japanese students.
